Everything baby is sooo expensive!

So in this last month, other than being super busy, I've been feeling GREAT! Morning sickness is far away and I've gotten a new boost of energy... But poor Justin's energy has been sucked dry by me tho... All I want to do is shop for baby stuff.. or rather window shop.

I have this checklist of essentials... the list is LONG. So the past week has been spent researching on prices, and after a week, I've lost my stamina. Every shop sells just about the same thing, and the price doesn't differ very much. So I guess we'll be getting everything under the same roof to cut down traveling.

So far we've bought:
2 Avent bottles
Medela breast pump (this is a huge blessing!)
Crib bumper and bedsheets
Clothes that would last us from 0 months to 6 months (lots of em, cause I ordered all of them over the internet, so much cheaper!)

We've been blessed with:
Crib from my aunt
Rocker from my aunt and cousin
Stemlife membership from my dad
Inflatable bath tub from my mom

What's left on the list....:
Stroller
Car seat
Play pen
Crib mattress
Changing table
Other extras

Everything baby is really very expensive, Justin's convinced the industry is prying on parents' desires to provide for their baby to the best of their abilities. Sigh...

Now what's left is for us to draw out a timeline for purchases, spreading out our purchases means lightening the load on our finances. On top of all these there's also the 4k++ for delivery charges. Amazing how expensive having a baby is.

Updates updates!

Hello readers!

So so so sorry for the long absence. December is the season to be busy! I finally have time to note some interesting updates!

We're at 16/17 weeks now... Why I say 16/17 is because the last ultrasound we went for said baby was back to 16 weeks. So we're really confused, but according to the gynae, growth spurts happen and hence the differnce in due dates and gestational age. =) On the doc's side, she's still marking us as 17 weeks, but on our part, we'll stick to 16 weeks just to be safe =)

Good news from gynae, our bean sprout is now at its most stable trimester, hence she'll only need to see us once in 4 weeks. Yay! So our next checkup is on 18th Jan, which should be our 20/21 week where she'll do a comprehensive scan for abnormalities and GENDER!

Speaking of gender, she tried to take a peak at baby's genitalia this week, but baby was shy, and she only caught a slight glimpse. She wasn't confident with that glimpse to give us a conclusive boy or girl, so we'll wait till our next scan. But we're absolutely delighted with either! I already have clothes for both genders!!! By that I mean I have lots of unisex ones (yellow, brown, orange, etc) and a couple of blues for boy and pinks for girl. I couldn't resist!!! My latest purchase was a set from Carter's, blue one says "I love mommy" and on the butt, "and mommy loves me". The pink one says "I love daddy", and on the butt, "and daddy loves me". Note, it's spelt MOMMY!!!! I'm really fussy when it comes to that, it must be an O and not a U! will take a pic of the set when I get my camera back from bean sprout's daddy.

Ohh ya, as of last night, we're upped the level of bean, to bean sprout! Reason being, he/she doesn't look quite like a bean anymore (or rather, hasn't looked the bill long ago). Now he/she's got long long limbs, and is soo long CRL. So, we've added on the "sprout", hence BEAN SPROUT! The next increase in level will see sprout being changed to a stalk!! Hehehehehe. We're having fun with nicknames.... And if you're wondering about actual names, nope, we have none yet. Bean sprout daddy is holding on it till gender is confirmed and he has sudden "inspiration". Hmmmm =/

So, that's all the updates I have this time, stay tuned for more... when I find the time to? hehehehe. OOohh yes, I know I've missed out weeks of momma bumps!!!! argggg. Now I won't have a complete collection.. Sigh, but yes, the bump has finally appeared!!!! It can now be seen under loose fitting clothes!!! Like Adelene said, it has announced itself! =D Shall post that up when I get a pic of it. Hopefully this week?
